Are you facing homelessness in Darwin tonight? Click here

Attention all Darwin volunteers, we need you!

Welcome to the Share The Dignity Darwin charities activity hub!  Our Darwin hub co-ordinates volunteers across Northern Territory and needs volunteers to give us a hand in greater Darwin and across all the towns and cities in the Top End!  The NT team has some real challenges… The Territory is in so much need of services for homeless women and women fleeing domestic violence and funding just doesn’t cover it!  We need you!  Share The Dignity needs volunteers across the Territory to help us provide pads, tampons, domestic violence support and fundraising activities to remote towns and communities.  It’s rewarding work and you can commit as much or as little time as you choose.  Will you become the local Shero in your town?

Already convinced? Sign up right now to get started.

How you can help right now! Volunteer Opportunities in Darwin

The first step is to put on your cape and become a Shero!  Our Sheroes commit a few hours a few times a year to helping out on our big campaigns.  Could you collect donations and deliver them to one of our partner charities a few times a year?  Could you rally the troops to donate a handbag full of personal hygiene items to a woman in need?  If so, you’re already a Shero – all that’s left is to fill in the form!

Donate, fundraise, or be a regular volunteer at Share The Dignity Darwin

On the streets of Darwin, across the top end or in your spare room, we need you!  We need professionals to help run Share The Dignity behind the scenes.  In addition to our Shero program, we need people with amazing skills to provide web support, graphic design, to apply for grants and to fill a bunch of specific roles a few hours each week.  Could you donate your mad skills to us?  Volunteer from home to build a better world outside.  Sounds good? Business and Influencers – Stand Up for Northern Territory Women

Insta Queens, Facebook Influencers, Tweeps… share the dignity a few times a year and make the top end a better place!  Can you help us raise awareness about our major drives? Could you do a “shout out” just a few times a year?  Raising awareness of the plight of homeless women and domestic violence victims is a big step in effecting change.  Share The Dignity was conceived and raised on socials. Our women’s charity wouldn’t be doing the good works it’s doing today without the tidal wave of support from social media users.  All we need is a shout out now and then!

For businesses, there are plenty of ways to help out – it’s not just about cash donations (although we need those too!) Could your club donate a free activity for a child recovering from domestic violence?  Could your hotel offer up a spare room to a woman experiencing domestic violence in the night?  Would you be willing to host a fundraising event that brings new customers into your bar or restaurant? Perhaps you’d like to sponsor a dignity vending machine in a remote school or public toilet?  There are plenty of ways for businesses to get involved.

Help make a real difference to domestic violence victims and homeless women in Darwin and across Northern Territory.  We need you right now, will you help?
