Volunteer Brisbane - Donate to Charities in Brisbane

Are you facing homelessness in Brisbane tonight? Click here

Brisbane volunteers, we need you!  Share The Dignity is based in Brisbane and it’s our biggest and busiest volunteer hub.  Consequently, we need your help! In addition to Brisbane, our Brisbane volunteers co-ordinate national projects and also help organise Sheroes across Queensland. Want to help out?  We need volunteers across Queensland to help organise our annual calendar of fundraising activities locally, at a state level and nationally. Queensland is a big state – could you be the go-to Shero for your city or town? Most importantly, our volunteer roles are varied and you can commit as little or as much time as you like, and work in your community or in your spare room. We cherish all our volunteers and appreciate every single Shero doing her bit to help the homeless in Australia.

Get started right now: Volunteer in Brisbane

Our Brisbane hub manages our Shero Program across Queensland.  First of all, Sheroes are our casual volunteers who give a little time to our major fundraisers, a few times a year.  Sheroes also get notifications of other volunteering opportunities, so you can choose to give more time when you have more time.  As the go-to Shero in your city or town, you’ll be asked to pick up pad, tampon and handbag donations and then deliver them to our partner charities or distribution centres.  We encourage you to help organise fundraising events… if you have the time.   It’s a small volunteer job that makes a big difference.

Donate your professional skills to Share The Dignity Brisbane

We believe in helping our volunteers find the right role for their skill set. Have you experience in administration?  Can you help with “behind the scenes” tasks like web design, graphic design or grant application writing?  Share the Dignity has no fancy pants West End office – hence all our staff and volunteers work from home. Even our founder Rochelle Courtenay runs Share The Dignity from her north Brisbane home.  We currently have especially relevant volunteer roles that urgently need filling.  Your skills could change the lives of homeless women in Australia.  Browse the list of current voluntary opportunities now.

Business and Bloggers – Stand Up for Queensland’s Women

Our business partners make so much happen for us and we’re eternally grateful. Could your business help a woman experiencing domestic violence?  You don’t need to donate money (although first of all, we need money!) to help out.  We need all kinds of businesses to partner with us – from “A Man With A Van” to recreational clubs willing to offer a free activity for a child living in temporary accommodation or a homeless shelter in Brisbane.  Doesn’t it seem like your business can make a big impact while demonstrating to the community that you care about homeless women and those experiencing domestic violence in Queensland?  Corporates are welcome too!  Our Corporate Partnership packages can be tailored to suit your organisational goals because we believe that your business can thrive while doing good.

Social Media Built Share the Dignity

Are you a bona fide Tweep?  An Insta Queen?  A Facebook Influencer?  Share the Dignity loves social.  In fact, we recognised that social media was the most powerful tool available to any charity from day one… and we grew our charity up on Facebook and Insta first of all. Social media influencers and benevolent bloggers have made a REAL impact on our activities. We believe in the power of your influence because we have seen it and we love it. Consequently, we need you.

We need volunteer Brisbane social media influencers to share our fundraising activities with your audiences. We’ve seen the impact of social media for awareness raising and we would love for you to “give us a shout out” a couple of times a year. You don’t need a squillion followers to make an impact.  We love social media influencers with Australian audiences of all sizes. Will you give a shout out for a good cause?

Help us stop the deaths in Brisbane and across Queensland. Help us to help women and girls living in crisis because every woman should live with dignity
