International Womens Day #endperiodpoverty

On March 8 for 24 HOURS ONLY we aim to #EndPeriodPoverty.

On International Women’s Day 2019 our latest initiative ‘Every Girl Deserves an Education’, aims to raise $100,000 to purchase and install 10 new #pinkbox Dignity Vending Machines into schools in low socio-economic areas across Australia.

We were shocked to hear that about 27% of Australian girls have had to miss school because of period poverty, with some of those girls missing up to 4 days a month! So, we are asking for your help to ensure that all girls can go to school without fearing shame and embarrassment.

Education is a right, not a privilege, and so is access to sanitary items when you need them!

By donating to #endperiodpoverty, you will be helping disadvantaged school girls, by providing them with the dignity and sanitation they deserve.

The funds raised will go directly to both purchasing, stocking and implementing each of the free vending machines into schools across Australia.

Every Girl Deserves an Education

Did you know that up to one in ten young girls don’t have access to sanitary items to manage their period?

Did you know that these young girls can miss as much as 4 days of school a month because their families cannot afford proper sanitary products to best manage their period?

Did you know that that could add up to more than 150 days of missed school across their entire education?

Do you think that this is fair?

Or…

Do you think that regardless of their financial situation, young girls should have the same right to an education as their male peers?

Do you want to help us raise the much-needed funds to end period poverty and make this a reality?

Why support the #EveryGirlDeservesAnEducation initiative?

By dedicating your International Women’s Day event to the Every Girl Deserves an Education initiative, you will be helping disadvantaged school girls escape the shame and embarrassment they would otherwise feel when they don’t have access to sanitary items, and subsequently providing them with the dignity they deserve.

The money raised from your fundraiser will go directly to purchasing and maintaining more of our specially designed #PinkBox Dignity Vending Machines, which we are planning to get installed into as many schools across Australia as we can.
