As we continue to rapidly grow and the demand for our services remains strong, we are on the search for like-minded and passionate volunteers to support us in achieving our mission
We operate in all states and territories and currently have no office premises. This means that all roles can be done from home and gives more flexibility to our team of dedicated volunteers.
Shero/Hero - All States The majority of our volunteers are what we like to call Sheroes and Heroes. A Shero or Hero is responsible for our #DignityDrives in April and August and also for being part of our #itsinthebag collection in November. Needing nothing more than a willingness to communicate and being prepared to manage a collection point in your local area a Shero/Hero is a great way for everyone to be involved in Sharing the Dignity. Volunteer Support Coordinator - All States Do you want an opportunity to make a difference within Share The Dignity. Are you looking for a key role in growing the effectiveness of our volunteer programs? Are you experienced in engaging with Leaders and Volunteers? Have you a background in HR, mentoring, leadership development programs? Although this area of work is generally open to all, a qualification in the following subjects would be beneficial: business and management studies human resource management social work youth and community work
In this position you will need to have great communication skills and email etiquette; be professional, open minded, empathetic and adaptable. You will also need to be flexible with time and have 1-2hrs a week available. These roles are done remotely however some face to face contact may be required.
Accounts Assistant Do you have experience with myob. Do you currently work in an accounting role and are keen to put your skills towards helping women in need. If so then we would love to hear from you! This role will work closely with our Accounts team and you will need to be based local to Queensland 4017. The role would require 5-7 hrs a week available on average. This will vary during our peak and quite times.
Admin and PA Do you have time on your hands? Are you experienced in administration or PA roles. Do you have between 5-7hrs available a week that you could give to support key roles within Share the Dignity. Do you have experience working in a corporate environment. You will need to have great communication skills, an ability to think on your feet, professional approach to the work that you do and most importantly be willing to learn.and grow within the role. Access to a computer and the internet is a key requirement of the role. This role is based remotely and will be placed within one of 5 key areas of Share the Dignity currently requiring these skills.
Graphic Designers Want a meaningful way to expand your design portfolio? Want to gain experience volunteering in a nationwide not for profit organisation? WE WANT YOU! Share the Dignity require a graphic designer or graphic design student to join our growing charity. The role will involve being part of a team that design creative social media images, web use images, flyers and posters to print and/or creating presentations to advertise our many initiatives and projects. Our tasks vary from month to month, depending on our upcoming events. We require you to have a passion for design and a keen attention to detail. You will need to have access to a full design program (CorelDraw, InDesign etc), and have the ability to import and export .pdf, .ai and/.eps files. It is desirable that you have some knowledge of prepress, but not essential. We require you to have access to a full design program, and have the ability to import and export .pdf, .ai and/.eps files. This role will take between 5-7 hrs a week and is done remotely.
Grant Writers - SA/NT/VIC/ TAS Do you have experience writing grants? Are you based in SA and NT and knowledgeable about state specific grants opportunities? If so we would love to hear from you and have you join our team of specialists to help us achieve our goal of placing 50 Dignity Vending Machines #pinkbox across Australia this year. This role will take between 3-5 hrs a week and is done remotely.
Event Coordinators - NT / WA Every year in October we ask Australia to take a stand against domestic violence as its just not bloody funny. The day ends with a comedy night being held across all states. This is an important fundraiser to support our Because We Care programme and we are looking for event managers who are able to help organise this annual event. If you have events experience, are able to dedicate the time in October for the event and also managing the planning of the event in the lead up to the night then please apply today. This role will take between 3-5 hrs a week between Feb and August increasing to 10 hrs a week in September and October. The role is best suited to someone based in the state with contacts.
Dignity Vending Machine Coordinators - TAS /QLD Are you enthusiastic about helping at-risk Australians in your community and keen to gain experience volunteering in a nationwide not for profit organisation? Do you love meeting new people and building relationships? If you are in Victoria or Tasmania, and are task orientated, motivated and organised we would love to hear from you. This role is a key position in the Dignity Vending Machine team at Share the Dignity, and is responsible for researching, sourcing and confirming locations for our Dignity Vending Machines in your State. You will need access to a computer and phone and be confident in communicating professionally with people across a wide variety of organisations. By the end of 2017 we aim to have installed 50 Dignity Vending Machines across Australia. Do you want to be able to say ‘I helped make that happen’ This role will take between 5-7 hours a week (some of this would need to be during standard business hours) and is done remotely
App & Website Coordinators Do you have IT knowledge? Are you website Savvy? is ecommerce your thing? We are looking for people to help manage our website and our apps. We would love to build a team with a diverse range of skills. The role workload will vary depending on the time of year but on average will be between 3-5hrs a week.
